Engine Care
Checking Engine Oil
- Park your vehicle on a flat surface.
- Start the engine and let it reach normal operating temperature.
- Turn off the engine.
- Pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean, and reinsert it fully.
- The oil level should be between the High (H) and Low (L) marks.
Checking Engine Coolant Level
- Check the coolant level when the engine is cold.
- The level should be between the F (MAX) and L (MIN) marks on the coolant reservoir.
- If low, top it up to F (MAX)—but do not overfill.
Checking Brake Fluid Level
- Park your car on level ground.
- The brake and clutch fluid levels should be between the MAX and MIN marks on the container.
- Clean the reservoir cap area before opening to avoid contamination.
- If the brakes feel spongy, hard, or inefficient, contact your nearest authorized service centre.
Checking Washer Fluid Level
- The washer fluid container holds translucent liquid.
- Never add detergent or solvents to washer fluid, as they can damage components.
Checking Power Steering Fluid
- Ensure the fluid level is between the MIN and MAX marks on the power steering reservoir.
- If low, add the recommended fluid.
- Never start the engine without power steering fluid—it may damage the system.
Battery Care
- Inspect battery terminals for corrosion.
- Clean terminals with a solution of water and baking soda if corrosion is present.
- Keep terminals dry and coat them lightly with petroleum jelly to prevent rust.
- Always disconnect the negative terminal first, and reconnect it last.
Exterior Care
- Wash your vehicle frequently to prevent corrosion, especially from dirt and mud accumulation underneath.
- Inspect for scratches or damage in the paint. Repair promptly at an authorized service center to prevent rust.
- Check mud liners for damage.
- Keep drain holes clear to avoid water accumulation.
Interior Care
- Avoid contact between perfumes, cosmetics, or oils and dashboard surfaces. Wipe off any spills immediately.
- Regularly vacuum seats and upholstery to remove dust and debris.
- If carpets become wet, dry them quickly to prevent musty odors and corrosion underneath.
Wiper Care
- The wiper blade should rest at a 90° angle (perpendicular) to the windshield for effective cleaning.
- Periodically lift the wiper arm and check the blade for cracks or wear.
- Ensure there’s an even gap between the wiper blade and the glass.
General Emergency Service Tips
In case of any vehicle emergency:
- Park safely and switch on hazard lights.
- Use the advance warning triangle to alert other drivers.

Good Driving Practices
- Shift gears gradually to suit changing speeds, especially during the first 1,500–1,800 km of a new vehicle’s life.
- Slow down before shifting to lower gears to avoid engine over-revving.
- Avoid frequent hard braking, which can overheat brake components.
- Reduce speed during strong crosswinds for better vehicle control.
- Take turns and corners at moderate speeds.
- Ensure the vehicle is fully stationary before shifting into reverse gear.
- Drive slowly on wet roads, as wet surfaces reduce traction and extend stopping distances.
