- Driving In Adverse Condition
Driving in challenging weather or road conditions requires extra care and attention. At Jai Ganesh Tata Motors, we’re committed to helping you stay safe, no matter what the road brings. Follow these important tips to navigate adverse conditions confidently.

Avoid Driving Through Deep Water
- Never attempt to drive through water deeper than the middle of your wheels or higher than the stone guard.
- Driving through deep water can severely damage your engine and other critical components.
- If you absolutely must cross water:
- Keep the engine running at a fast idle.
- Drive slowly in low gear.
- After crossing, press the brakes several times to dry them out.
- Check the engine and transaxle for signs of water ingress.
⚠ Important: If your car stalls in water, do not try to restart the engine. Seek assistance from a qualified mechanic or towing service to avoid further damage.
Driving on Rainy Days
- Check that wiper blades are functioning properly.
- Inspect brakes, steering, and windows for smooth operation.
- Avoid harsh braking and sudden turns, which could cause skidding.
- To slow down, shift to lower gears and apply brakes gently.
- Keep your headlights on in low visibility.
- Use the heater and demister to clear fog from the windshield.
Descending Sharp Gradients
- Select a lower gear suitable for the slope’s severity.
- Use engine braking to control your speed—avoid over-revving.
- Choose a gear that allows you to descend without shifting or disengaging the clutch mid-descent.
Towing the Vehicle
- Ideally, use a tow truck or a rigid tow bar for safety.
- Turn on hazard warning lights on both vehicles.
- Keep the engine running during towing (if possible) to maintain power steering and brake assistance.
- Limit towing speed to 20–30 km/h.
- If brakes fail during towing, use the parking brake carefully to slow the car.
Rear Tow Hook
- Your vehicle is equipped with a bolt-on rear tow hook stored in the toolkit.
- To use it:
- Remove the cover on the rear bumper.
- Screw in the tow hook securely.
- When towing is finished:
- Unscrew the tow hook and store it in the toolkit.
- Press the bumper cover back into place to close the opening.
